Portland Wine Company, Home of Love & Squalor, is a Family Craft Winery established in 2006. With a focus on mind-blowing Rieslings and sneak-attack Pinots from the Willamette Valley, the scope has stretched to include an eclectic array of varietals, fun blends, and experimental wines. All of these wines are produced at our urban HQ in SE Portland, sourcing our grapes through long-term contracts with storied vineyard sites and working hand-in-hand with the farmers. Owner Matt Berson (winemaker) came to wine through many years of restaurant service followed by quite a few spent learning at the side of rockstar winemakers in Oregon and around the globe. Co-owner (general manager) Angie Reat fell into wine while falling in love with a winemaker. Her degrees in design and graphics and her many years of foreign travel prepared her admirably for winery wrangling.
