Nicolas Maillet

It lies on the slopes of the small village of Verzé (Southern Burgundy, France) in the heart of the Mâcon area, 60 km north of Lyon and 120 km south of Dijon. It has been in the hands of the family for four generations. Back then, the wines were produced in the cellar of the Domain. In 1928 the production of the domain started to be delivered to the village’s cooperative winery, up until 1999 when the wine started once again to be produced in the family cellar. Son of winemaker, Nicolas wanted to acquire a solid wine education before starting to look after the vineyard in Verzé. Nicolas passed an agriculture engineer diploma as well as the national oenology diploma in 1996. He then completed that education by working in the many wine-producing countries around the world (USA, Argentina and Spain).
