Covington Cellars

Making small quantities of wine from the highest quality fruit is only half the goal at Covington Cellars. The other half is to make thier guests feel like family. Founded in 2002 by David and Cindy Lawson, the winery is a true labor of love. Covington Cellars' fruit comes from some of the most respected vineyards in the state, including Pepper Bridge and Seven Hills Vineyards in Walla Walla; Klipsun and Kiona Vineyards on Red Mountain; Kestrel and Olsen Vineyards in Yakima and Stone Tree Vineyard on the Waluke Slope. All the wines are hand crafted, gravity fed, and allowed to age gracefully in a combination of French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels for 18-36 months. These high standards and constant attention to detail allows Covington Cellars to make wines with depth, interest and elegance.       Here is a video of winemaker Morgan Lee describing the first wine he ever made: Morgan's First Wine.
