Torre Raone is located in the Abruzzo region, between Gran Sasso natural park, the Laga Mountains, and the nature reserve of Penne. It is situated on the sunny hills of Loreto Aprutino at a height of 350 meters above sea level. The estate measures 35 hectares and certified by AIAB for organic agriculture. The tower from which the estate takes its name rises from an old fortification dominating the surrounding area. It was erected in the 11th century by Raone of Poliziano, a descendant of Tancred Duke of Normandy. In those days, Normans had come to aid the local people in liberating themselves from the Byzantines. Torre Raone practices completely non-aggressive agriculture and the use of barriques is strictly limited, in order not to overpower the delicate, elegant scents and natural taste of the wines have to offer. Choosing to do so offers products that are truly unique and therefore stand out from the crowd.
