Podere la Berta overlooks the Lamone Valley nestled in the Tuscan-Romagna Appenines, the former gateway to Florence between Faenza and Brisighella. It started in the early 70’s when Marcello Giovanni left the plains of Lugo and headed for the hills of Brisighella, using his passion and insight to breathe life into Podere la Berta. It became a place of innovation and experimentation and to this day remains so, choosing quality and unique grape varietals. In 2009, the Giovanni family handed over the reins to the Poggiali family, who own and operate Fèlsina. Together, the three Poggiali brothers, Giovanni, Nicolo, and Dominico, strive to enhance the Podere la Berta, combining careful attention to detail while promoting the territority and identity of Romagna. The same tireless efforts that go into the craft and winemaking at Fèlsina can be found here as well.
