Hnos Perez Pascuas, Vina Pedrosa began in 1980 with three brothers, Benjamin, Manuel and Adolfo who took over the vineyards from their father. They set out on a rather ambitious project: “to make one of the best wines in Spain”. A limited production of 500,000 bottles per year allows the Perez Pascuas brothers to maintain quality by having strict controls over the entire wine making process from start to finish. All grapes come from family owned vineyards, 333 acres containing 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Most vines are over 25 years old and are located on the Pedrosa del Duero in DO Ribera del Duero, where wine has been made for over 100 years. The vineyards are 2,264 feet above sea level in chalky clay soil. It is a Continental climate with Atlantic influence and an average yearly temperature of 52 F and an annual rainfall of around 19 inches.
