The story begins in the early 1960s when Nicole & Claude Vaute settled on the family property. They both came from families of farmers and became the first generation in each to become winemakers, both avid believers in the region of Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise. They started out by selling their wine to the local cooperative while expanding in the region and working hard to improve the quality of the land and vines until son, Thierry and his wife Marina took over the family’s 25 hectares. Thierry and Marina decided to build their own cellar and launched their first vintage in 1996. Located at the foot of the Dentelles Mountains, the vineyards stretch and overlap over four different prestigious regions: Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise, Vacqueyras, Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Ventoux. Now, seasoned wine makers, they have mastered the art of letting the wines on their 40 hectares respond to each individual, micro climate that gives distinctive qualities to each of the vineyards and each of the wines.
