Situated near the Roman town of Fréjus, at the edge of a protected forest and the foot of the red rocked and volcanic Estérel mountains, lies the estate of Rouët, founded in 1888. On this wooded, gravelly, and acidic terroir, six generations have succeeded one another in improving and mastering the vines and vinification techniques that give a distinct aroma and character to their wines. Matthieu Savatier takes great pride in his heritage, as he describes it, “carrying the red torch”. He has put his mark the wines, letting the specific character and typicity of each varietal shine. Under his care, the estate’s rosés have exploded in both quality and prominence.
